Investor Readiness Review

Before you practise the pitch, find out whether the investment case stands up. I identify what an investor is likely to question, misunderstand or disbelieve.

What will an investor see?

The Review looks beyond the slides. It examines the business underneath them, the argument built around it and the founder’s ability to communicate it.

The Five Questions ask whether an investor can understand the business. The Investor Readiness Review asks the deeper question: can an investor believe the case being made?

What you send

  • A recording of your current pitch
  • Your pitch deck and investment ask
  • Your website and relevant sales material
  • Available commercial, market and financial information
  • Context about the round, use of funds and conversations ahead

What I examine

The business and market

  • Customer, problem, proposition, product or service
  • Market, competition, differentiation and scalability
  • Team, risks and important assumptions

The commercial case

  • Traction, evidence, revenue model, margins and economics
  • Go to market approach, sales process and customer acquisition
  • Financial assumptions, growth measures and milestones

The investment case and founder

  • Funding ask, use of funds and why the opportunity matters now
  • Pitch structure, deck, claims, website and supporting material
  • Founder clarity, credibility, delivery and likely investor questions

What you receive

  • An Investor Readiness assessment and Five Questions assessment
  • A written report covering the business, story, pitch and founder
  • Investor concerns, red flags and areas that need stronger evidence
  • Pitch, deck and commercial clarity observations
  • A founder communication assessment
  • Priority changes before approaching investors
  • A 60 minute debrief to examine the findings and next steps

How it works

Step 1

Provide the evidence

You send the pitch, deck, website and the material needed to understand the opportunity.

Step 2

Independent review

I examine the commercial case, investor story and founder communication together.

Step 3

Written findings

You receive a practical report showing strengths, concerns and priority changes.

Step 4

Debrief and decision

We examine the findings and decide whether another option would add value.

A clear boundary

I make founders ready to raise investment; I do not raise the investment for them. The Review is not financial, legal or technical due diligence, investor outreach or transaction advice. Specialist advice can be sought separately where the findings show it is needed.

What may follow

The Review determines which focused option, if any, would help.

Start with evidence

See the opportunity as an investor may see it.

Begin with an independent assessment before committing time and money to changing the pitch.
